Database Administration and Development with PostgreSQL

Database Administration and Development with PostgreSQL

PostgreSQL( or simply postgres) is an extremely high quality database engine. As a slogan, the creators like to call it 'the most advance open source database in the world'. And really going by some of the features postgres provides out-of-the-box compared to its commercial counterparts like Oracle or Ms SQL Server, that description may not be far from truth.

Postgres is the only relational store that mimics the object orientation in programming platforms by default. It powers popular websites like Yahoo and Instagram. It can be also used as a NoSQL document store like MongoDB.

This is a complete course on learning the administration and development of this powerful database engine. No prior experience with postgres is required; we start from scratch.
